This site was started on the 31st of August 2009 as a way of showcasing my skills in the web and graphic design feild. While I have played around with design for a number of years I have to admit that doing up a portfolio of my works always seemed to be a distant goal on my list of sites that needed to be made. But with the positive feedback and experiences I have received I felt a strong, inexplicable urge to get this site up and working.

Concept Behind the Design

I was introduced to a relatively unknown local band by a friend and after listening to their cd I couldn't get the words to this specific song out of my head, so I decided to make a layout for it. I'm not entirely sure where the child on the beach comes into it... I think I was in a process of evolution with the lyrics. And this was one of the scenarios I pulled up. Anyway, I LOVE the fresh beachy feel of it. That tends to be where I find the most inspiration I think.

If you wanted to know the band is called 'Mission Bell' they are now defunct, and I don't know where you could buy a copy of their CD. But they are amazing. Look for Tommy Ryan who won StarStruck in Australia... maybe you'll get some luck there cause Tommy Ryan was the lead singer and songwriter for the band as far as I know.
